RRB Group D Admit Card 2026: The CBT Is Done, the PET Call Letter Is Next
If you landed here looking for the CBT e-call letter, that stage has closed. The exam ran from 3 August to 25 August 2026, the answer key came out on 7 September, and the objection window shut on 15 September.
There is still a call letter ahead of you, though. The PET call letter is issued on the same regional RRB websites, through the same login, and this page has been updated to cover it along with the documents you will need at every stage that remains.
Where the recruitment stands right now
A correction worth noting if you read this page in August. The CBT window was originally advertised as ending on 21 August and was later extended to 25 August 2026. The dates above are the ones that actually ran.
The PET call letter: what changes and what does not
The important difference is the third row. The CBT admit card came to everybody. The PET call letter comes only if your normalised score clears your zone's boundary, and how that boundary gets drawn is explained in our Group D cut off guide.
Which website will issue it
Each Railway Recruitment Board runs its own site and publishes its own result, scorecard and call letters. There is no single national download page.
Additional RRBs operate beyond the sixteen listed above, and the complete list with links sits on the Railway Recruitment Control Board site at rrcb.gov.in. Go to the board you applied to, not whichever one loads fastest.

Documents you will need from here on
- Printed call letter for whichever stage you are attending
- Original photo identity proof, the same one you used at the CBT
- Passport size photographs, count and specification as stated on the call letter
- Category, EWS or disability certificate in the prescribed format where applicable
- Matriculation certificate for date of birth, at Document Verification
- Qualification certificate, the 10th pass, ITI or NCVT NAC you claimed
Keep the CBT admit card as well. Stage wise documents get asked for again, and a candidate who threw away the August call letter has one less thing to prove identity with.
What the PET ground will ask of you
The venue is the first surprise. PET is held at a railway ground or a stadium attached to the division, frequently well outside the city, and reporting closes strictly.
Your call letter and photo ID are checked, biometrics are captured again, and you wait in a batch until your number comes up. Batches can run for hours, so food and water matter more than most candidates expect.
The Aadhaar rule still applies
Biometric authentication was mandatory at the CBT and the same verification applies at later stages. The name and date of birth on your Aadhaar should match what you entered in the application.
If there is a mismatch, fix it now rather than at the PET ground. A correction takes weeks and the reporting desk will not adjust it for you.
What the CBT you sat actually looked like
Ninety minutes, one third of a mark deducted per wrong answer, and a qualifying floor of 40 per cent for UR and EWS against 30 per cent for OBC-NCL, SC and ST. Use your response sheet and this pattern to work out your raw score properly before the result lands.
Call letter problems and what to do about them
The same handful of issues comes up at every stage, and most of them have a fix that takes minutes if you start early.
- Login not accepting your details. Use the registration number from the application, not the application number printed elsewhere, and enter the date of birth in the format the site asks for.
- Call letter not generated yet. Releases are zone wise and staggered. Check the notices section of your own RRB before assuming something is wrong.
- Photograph or signature not visible in the PDF. Open it in a different browser or download it rather than viewing in the preview pane. Report it to the RRB helpdesk the same day if it persists.
- Name spelling differs from your Aadhaar. Carry a second original photo ID that matches the application, and get the mismatch corrected before Document Verification.
- Lost the CBT admit card. Download it again while the window is open and keep a copy on your phone and in print.
What to do this month
- Save the response sheet you downloaded in September. It disappears from the portal after a set window.
- Calculate your raw score with negative marking applied, then stop guessing at the cut off.

Is the RRB Group D CBT admit card still available for download?
The CBT stage is complete. Call letters were issued from 31 July 2026 for an exam that ran from 3 August to 25 August 2026, and the download link for that stage is no longer the active one. The next call letter is for the PET.
When will the RRB Group D PET call letter be released?
After the CBT result, which is expected in October 2026 with no official date announced. Call letters are issued zone by zone on regional RRB websites, so the timing differs between boards.
Who receives the PET call letter?
Only candidates shortlisted on the CBT merit list for their zone and category. Unlike the CBT admit card, it does not go to every applicant, and shortlisting runs up to three times the community wise vacancies.
How do I download the PET call letter?

Final word
One honest thing about this page. An admit card article stops being useful the day the exam ends, and most sites simply leave it to rot while candidates keep landing on it from search.
